The Remnant Church
By Apostle Frank Baio, PhD.
In the Last days there will be two churches The Nominal Church and the Remnant Church.
What is the nominal or liberal church?
Jesus says “These people draw near Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far away from Me. Matthew 15:8 (KJV)”
Paul describes this church as “having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2Tim. 3:5(KJV)
Characteristics of the nominal Church
1. Spirit of Religion (Rev. 2:4–5, 7)
2. Spirit of Intimidation (Rev. 2:10–11)
3. Spirit of Compromise (Rev. 2:12, 14–17)
4. Spirit of Jezebel (Control, manipulation,) (Rev. 2:18-20, 26)
5. Spirit of Traditionalism - Environment of death (Rev. 3:1–6)
6. Spirit of Inferiority (Rev. 3:7–8, 12)
7. Spirit of Pride - This church has Lost fervency, Lost fear, and Lost fellowship
(Rev. 3:14–17, 21)
The Emerging Church/Seeker Friendly Church/Post Modern Church
What is the Remnant Church?
When the Bible speaks of the remnant Church, it is referring to a small proportion of God’s people at the end of time that have clung to the unadulterated Word, faith and doctrines of the early Apostolic Church. This Church will be comprised of people who have not have not compromised their belief system, God’s Word and principals or given way to political correctness
What are the characteristics of God’s remnant people?
Ephesians 5:26, 27 (KJV). vs. 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it (the church) with the washing of water by the word, vs.27. That he might present it (the church) to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. To bring about this purging and cleansing there must be divine order.
Mark 16:15-18; 20 (NIV) 15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. 20 Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
Characteristics Of The Remnant Church
What the church can expect
In Rev. 2:7 we see that there is a warning which is “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;”
Judgment
Peter apparently saw situations either that had developed or were developing in the churches. So to re-establish order and holiness he gives the following warning to the church leaders and to the church.
1 Peter 4:17 (AMP) For the time [has arrived] for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will [be] the end of those who do not respect or believe or obey the good news (the Gospel) of God?
To bring about this purging and cleansing there must be divine order.
Devine order
1 Corinthians 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order.
Titus 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
Once we have re-established Biblical order (The restoration of the five [5] fold ministry gifts), the apostolic doctrine and the true gospel message, holiness and a true reverential fear of the Lord. Then we can expect a visitation of the most High God.
With this visitation will be a spirit of repentance. This will lead to a true and lasting move of the Holy Spirit in the REMNANT CHURCH.
This is what we will have to do in our local assemblies (churches)
Both The prophet Joel and Peter spoke prophetically about this last day visitation.
Pouring out of His Spirit
Joel 2:28,29 (KJV) vs.28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
vs.29. And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.
In this lasts visitation of the Holy Spirit, there will be a separation in the church. Historically and tragically every preceding generation rejects the next move of God. The Church has fallen into the same pattern as did Israel. One generation served God passionately while the next became cold.
With this end time out-pouring, God will use His refining fire to cleanse and purify His church, as this out-pouring reaches its apex. That is when Christ will come back for The Remnant Church that is without spot, blemish or winkle.
Praise be unto God for Christ Victorious Remnant Church. This is the Church that will usher in the return of Jesus Christ, the head of the Church. Our King of Kings and Lord of Lords. THAT AT HIS NAME EVERY KNEE MUST BOW TO THE GLORY OF GOD!!!!!

The Emerging Church/Seeker Friendly Church/Post Modern Church
- The world is radically changing
and the church must radically change with it
- Since the Church has been culture
bound for so long we must reexamine and question every belief and practice in
the Church, finding new ways to define it.
- We have no foundation for any
beliefs, therefore we cannot know absolute truth
- Since we cannot know absolute
truth, we can only experience what is "true" for our communities
- Since we cannot know absolute
truth we cannot be dogmatic about doctrine
- Since we cannot know absolute
truth we cannot be dogmatic about moral standards
- Since we cannot know absolute
truth, dogmatic preaching must give way to a dialogue between people of all
beliefs
- Since propositional truth is
uncertain, spiritual feeling and social action make up the only reliable
substance of Christianity
- To capture a sacred feeling we
should reconnect with ancient worship forms
- Since sublime feeling is
experienced through outward forms, we should utilize art forms in our worship
- Through conversation with them,
"outsiders" will become part of our community, and then be able to
understand and believe what we teach
- All are welcome to join the
"conversation" as long as they behave in a kind and open-minded
manner.
- The ultimate goal is to make the
world a better place

were the remnant saved out of the millions on the earth before the flood
(Gen. 6).

assured him that He had reserved a remnant of 7,000 “whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose
mouths have not kissed him" (1 Kings 19).
